We’ll explore:
- Getting your students directly into the language and avoiding tidy theme making and the tragic flaw.
- Using Tossing Words and Lines as a way of getting your students to explore the many meanings in Macbeth’s soliloquies
- How the magic of Choral Reading ensures every student’s voice is heard and every student has Shakespeare’s language in their mouth.
This session will be led by Mark Miazga, an English teacher at Baltimore City College in Baltimore, Maryland and Elizabeth Dixon an English teacher at West Lafyette High School in West Lafayette, Indiana.
Afterwards, a recording of the session and any related resources will be available exclusively for Folger Teacher Members.
