Teachers, join us as we explore soliloquies and ways to get your students to dive in deep to the language.
- Choral Reading to immerse your students in the language from the jump. Yes, it’s sneaky close reading, but it’s also a way of giving your students a powerful shared experience. You’ll explore the “balcony scene” from Romeo and Juliet, bringing Shakespeare’s language to life in a dynamic and engaging way.
- Use Folger Method Essential Practices like Cutting the Text and Tone and Stress to not just unpack but upend how your students feel about Hamlet. We’ll dig into two big speeches and leave with new ways of looking at the play.
- Empowering your students to make their own choices with the Folger Method. You’ll walk away with different strategies to tackle Shakespeare or any complex text in class tomorrow with your students. This session will be the jolt to get you through this spring!
