FREE Folger programming all summer long!
Bring your friends and join the Folger for relaxed summer evening with food, drinks, music, dancing, poetry, and more. It’s a chance to discover new artists and performers and explore the Folger’s galleries and gardens.
Join us for our last summer Folger Friday with an evening celebrating Arab music and poetry, featuring Laith Alattar and Band. The evening will begin with a reading from poets Danielle Badra and Zeina Azzam, followed by a performance with comedian Rola Z.
Drinks will be available to purchase. Our exhibition halls will be open throughout the evening; timed-entry passes are recommended.

Laith Alattar, Arab-American composer, vocalist, and oud player, performs an eclectic assortment of classical, folk, and contemporary Middle Eastern and World Fusion music, incorporating styles from the Middle East and North Africa with elements of classical, rock, jazz, and other Western and World musical traditions.
