About Folger Foe-lios
Welcome! Wand’rer, to “Folger Foe-lios,” a series of introductory 5E Adventures meant to be enjoyed in a single session up to six players and a Game Master (GM).
Story telling lies at the heart of the humanities. In addition to featuring the imagery and culture of the early modern world so often found in fantasy and role-playing games, “Folger Foe-lios” is a fun and exciting way to highlight the fascinating objects in the Folger Collection and the research being done with them.

“A Night at the Library”
Our first adventure is set in a fantastical realization of the Folger Shakespeare Library, where we find ourselves in crisis! Having been closed for renovations for several years, the much-awaited reopening is now just a week away but threatened by increasingly strange happenings. At first it was little things that could be chalked up as nothing more than your own imagination– some strange noises, rustling books when nobody was around, and the occasional thump. The level of scrutiny changes, however, when the Collections Director comes across a rare book with a page that is seemingly intact, but completely blank.
Step through the proverbial mirror to meet characters both familiar and strange! You’ll encounter the witches of Macbeth around their cauldron, a mopey Hamlet, larger than life fairies, and, of course, the infamous Puck…
