Visit

Come experience all the Folger has to offer.

Visitors on a reading room tour view the Seven Ages of Main stained glass window in the Reading Room.

Welcome!

Our transformed building on Capitol Hill is open after a major multi-year building renovation that allows us to share more of our collection and resources than ever before.

The reimagined Folger features two new exhibition halls, a learning lab, welcoming gardens, collaborative research spaces, and expanded visitor amenities such as an expanded gift shop and a new café.

Along with our new public wing, the Folger’s historic spaces, including the Reading Room, have also reopened.
