First Trade Edition
Original Dust Jacket
Presentation Copy
This copy of the first edition of Winnie-the-Pooh was presented as a gift by the author, A.A. Milne, to his son, who was the inspiration for Christopher Robin. Milne inscribed, “For Moonest Moon and Poohest Pooh from their adoring Bluest Blue. Oct. 16th 1926,” using family nicknames for himself, his son, and his son’s teddy bear. This collection of short stories is one of the best-known works of all children’s literature, following the adventures of teddy bear Winnie-the-Pooh, and his friends Christopher Robin, Piglet, Eeyore, Owl, Rabbit, Kanga, and Roo.
