Actor Louis Butelli is traveling the world in Gravedigger’s Tale as part of the First Folio! The Book That Gave Us Shakespeare tour. Read an update from his travels below!
Hello, friends! It’s your very own Gravedigger, Louis Butelli writing you. I recently took Folger Theatre’s production of Gravedigger’s Tale to Oxford, Mississippi to perform at the lovely Meek Auditorium at University of Mississippi, affectionately known as Ole Miss.
I had a fantastic time. The show went over incredibly well – below are some pictures taken during the performance by Ole Miss theater faculty member Seth Lieber.
I also taught a masterclass for 20 incredibly talented students. Under the direction of Matthew Wilson, known to DC audiences as a performer and the founder of Faction of Fools Theatre Company, these students are currently in rehearsal for Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” It was truly an honor to work with them.
Matt and I also enjoyed a night out on the town. To see some pictures and hear a little bit more about that, why not visit my personal blog here? In the meantime, enjoy the pictures and stay tuned. Gravedigger’s Tale visits Columbia, South Carolina next.
Until we meet again!
-Louis
