Stuart Rose

Stuart Rose is a business leader and Chairman of REX American Resources Corporation. Prior to that he was Chairman and CEO of Rex Radio and Television, Inc., which he founded in 1980, and has also worked as a research analyst and merger and acquisition broker. Mr. Rose has a degree in Business Administration from Emory University.
An avid collector of rare books, Mr. Rose has built a remarkable collection, from which he donated an assortment to Emory University’s Stuart A. Rose Manuscript, Archives, and Rare Book Library in 2011. Among them was a theological study by St. Thomas Aquinas that is now its oldest book in the collection, and a 15th-century volume of universal history, the Polychronicon, one of the first books published by Caxton in the English language.
Stuart’s leadership and vision as a Folger Governor have been without parallel. In addition to providing insights as a leading book collector, he was instrumental in guiding the Folger toward the extensive renovations that took place between 2020-2023. A centerpiece of the renovation is the Stuart and Mimi Rose Rare Book and Manuscript Exhibition Hall. This expansive and beautiful space will house long term and temporary exhibitions.
Mr. Rose is President of the Stuart Rose Family Foundation of Dayton, Ohio.
