Edel Lamb

Dr. Edel Lamb is a Senior Lecturer in Renaissance Literature at Queen’s University Belfast.

Her research focuses on early modern children’s literary cultures.  She is currently researching writing by early modern girls and is focusing on girls’ school exercise books during her virtual Folger fellowship.  She is the author of two books – Performing Childhood in the Early Modern Theatre: The Children’s Playing Companies, 1599-1613 (2009) and Reading Children in Early Modern Culture (2018).  Her research has also been published as chapters and journal articles, including a chapter co-authored with Kate Chedgzoy for The Cambridge History of Children’s Literature (forthcoming).
